So I know I haven't posted hardly at all this year. I hope to be better at that, but when you are a senior in high school, life gets hectic and you totally forget about blogging....okay, so being a senior is no excuse, I was bad at blogging long before that. It would take too long to catch you up on all the things i've missed throughout many months that I haven't posted, but I will go back a little.
In March I went to Preference with Briston Eden.
April, he became my boy-friend. He's the best!
Prom Picture
I went to Prom with him. I was convinced I wasn't even going to prom, but when he came into my life, and then asked me to prom, well, how could I tell him "no"?
I answered him by attacking his room with many yeses and streamers, and balloons that had yeses on them written in different languages. It was a blast to decorate it! I left my internship during school, and checked out Briston's little sister, Amberle', and we attacked his bedroom and it was completely awesome afterwards!
I have been doing an internship over at Ashley Elementary. Last year I worked with Third graders, this year I decided to work with fifth graders. A lot of times, Ms. Green, doesn't need help, so I decided when this happened, i'd go help other teachers to learn how other teachers teach. I have worked quite a bit with a class of first graders. Those kids a so sweet, and there is never a dull moment!
Here are all the fifth graders, I tried to get all of them.
This is the first grade class I work with, and Lindsay, their teacher!
I started going to institute a while back, and one of my friends from there is the first grade teacher I help. I love working with Lindsay Thomas! She is the sweetest thing, she is my inspiration to keep going for my dreams, I wish to be like her when I'm a teacher! When I was with talking to Lindsay at lunch one day, one of her little boys came into the room to get something, and after she told him he needed to go to recess, he heads to the door, but says "I love you, Miss Thomas" before he walks out. It was so cute. I'm glad I got to witness the innocence of those three words. I hope that is me one day standing in her shoes. I have learned so much from both her and Ms. Green. I have learned many great teaching skills I will take with me from my internship! Thank you to all who have been a part of that!
Back to me talking about going to institute....I got sidetracked on that last paragraph and started talking of internship again.
Institute has changed my life! I leave the institute building a better person than when I enter it every week. I grow so much, and I learn so much from the institute teacher, Brother Willard, and all the people who go. It is so awesome! The spirit is so strong! I rarely ever want to leave. This is where I met, Lindsay. Lindsay, Is my new Role Model. Okay, Role Model isn't the word. She is my angel. She is both my role model and my Angel. Everybody has angel, that pulls them through, helps them to be strong, I don't think she knows it, but she has done so much for me, and she has strengthened my spirit, and testimony of my savior.
About a month ago, In relief society, We had Kory Cook Come and sing a song... Angels Among Us.
I would like to share this song with you!
It reminds me of Lindsay and Briston, my two Angels!
How did I meet Lindsay Officially?
Well, I already stated that I met her at institute.....Well, in one of our lessons we were told to find somebody we didn't really know and talk to them for a couple of minutes, so I chose to talk to her. I saw her around the elementary school, but then I thought she was somebody else, so I had to clarify it with her. I am so thankful for this day, because I have a great friend now! Thank you Lindsay!
I graduated from Seminary last Sunday. My seminary teacher was impressed that I still went to seminary even after I was graduated...ha ha.
I have 8 more school days of high school! I can't believe I've almost made it! I graduate on the 27th of May! Then after that will be a stomp, and a grad night party! I can't wait! I didn't think I was ready, but I think I am now!
In June I am doing the Upward Bound program for the third year in a row! We are going to be taking Student Success, and Library research and and computer class. The first two are senior classes. The Computer class is with some of the other UB students.
In August, I'm headed to Snow College. I will be living in a town house across the street from The college, with my cousin Courtney, and 5 other girls! I'm excited!
Well I must go, Time to sign out....
Love to all!
