Two New Things

New School Year

School started yesterday. I'm now officially a senior.
It's crazy to think that the summer is over and the new school year has begun.
for a first day of school it actually went pretty well. Although, i'm not very brainy and forgot to check out my schedule because I thought I had it memorized, and a class got changed so I was so confused when nobody else was in the classroom I went to after the bell rang. come to find out, I had seminary instead. I'm glad I discovered I had seminary this tri.

I really like all of the classes so far. I will see what my English1010 class is like on Monday, that is when I start that class.
I have Sewing and Spanish with Kecia which makes me very happy, I think that last time I had a class with her was in history in the 6th grade with Mr. Anderson. It made me happy when I found out about us having two classes together.

New Family Member

Yesterday there was also an addition to my family. My sister Jennie had her baby #5 yesterday. They named him "Trenton Joseph MacPherson" I haven't seen any pictures of him yet though, but I get to see him this weekend. He weighed 7.13lbs and 20inches long.

Well ta ta for now.

Summer Ending....

Well...I have had a busy but fun summer. I will give a quick summary of what I have done this summer.

June-
The whole month of June I took college classes at UVU with the Upward Bound program. I would come home on weekends and be in Orem, Utah for the weekdays. We were surely kept busy during this month. There was something planned for us to do from the time we woke up(I woke up at 5:15 most mornings) to the time we went to bed. (lights were out at 10:30 every night. I took two college classes. I took Humanities and a Health Class. Upward bound is a program to get kids excited for college and basically gives us a head start and there are only about 50 kids that actually get to go to the summer program. I admire everybody who makes this program possible.

My niece Makayla got baptized in June also. I am so proud of her for doing that. I also can't believe my oldest niece in 8 already. Where does the time go anyway? But then again, I am 18 now....which is very hard to believe.

My Dad, Mom, Jacob, and I went to the Manti pageant the day after the Upward Bound banquet. So on the 25th of June was the Banquet and on the 26th was the Pageant.

July-
The First week of July, Upward Bound rewarded us for working so hard and we got to go on a trip to Disney Land. I can now add two more states I have now been in...I think I am up to 9 states now. Ha Ha. We also went to a science museum in California, the beach, shopping at a mall in Vegas, toured a college, etc. I had a lot of fun. Longest bus ride I have ever been on but I had a blast.

The second week of July, I Went to Girl's camp. It was a neat experience. I always love going up to Heber Valley Camp. I can always feel the spirit so strong there. it is actually a dedicated temple on the mountains, and I totally believe it. It is hard to believe it was my 6th and final year of camp.(unless I get called as a camp leader) I loved being a YCL! I was over the fourth years this year which means I got to go on the over night hike. I'm glad I went on that hike. reminded me of my fourth year hike. I love girl's camp!

After girl's camp was the Hislop Reunion. I enjoyed seeing everyone. It was great to see my cousins and other relatives.

Then I was able to relax and go to the cabin. I spent a lot of time up at the cabin for the next few weeks after that.

August-
The first week of August Jacob came to visit me for my birthday. We went for a bike ride, went to the lake, went to movies, played games, took my niece swimming, etc. The day before my birthday, Jacob and the rest of my friends threw a surprise birthday party for me at Staniker lake. It was a so much fun to have good friends there. And a good cousin too.

On the 8th of August I came down to Grand Junction with Jacob and Makayla, and I've been here ever since. I am now waiting for my sister's baby to come. I hope he comes soon, considering school starts in little over a week. While I've been in Grand Junction I have been helping Jennie out with the Kids and such. One day I Baby-sat Jennie's friend Leslie's kids. Leslie is such a sweet lady! I have also gone to the movie Despicable me, with Jacob. It was a great movie. I went swimming with the family. Played games. and etc. I like it here is Grand Junction!

When school starts I will be a Senior. It's crazy! I have one more week of school. then after that........life begins.

My Schedule for first trimester is:
1st hour-English 1010 intro to writing
2nd hour-Algebra 2 with Ms. Flatt
3rd hour-Designer sewing with Mrs. Steele
4th hour- Financial literacy with Mrs Putnam
5th hour- Spanish- with the new Spanish teacher

well that's all for now folks! :D
