Braces

I got braces today. Ugh! Not fun at all. They hurt a little but probably not as bad as tomorrow when I have oral surgery to put a chain on a tooth that hasn't come down. I got pink and green put on for bands. I know typical me, right? The coolest thing about them is drinking water, the water goes through the wires and my teeth and it feels so cool... :P

I went to two parties yesterday for Halloween! First I went to the band party, and then I went to Maria's party, There were a ton a pictures taken at Maria's party but I don't have them yet, if I get them I will post them on here.
Before I left the house, dad was trying to get pictures of me and blackie.(being a witch I needed a black cat). That cat was so terrified of me, because he didn't recognize me. during the struggle with blackie my hat fell off my head so I then wanted to put it on Blackie's head. HA, I just scared him even more! And then all he wanted to do is go back outside.

Last week, My band and many others went to St. George to compete usuing our field show we have prepared. It was a lot of fun! I only have one picture of me. WE didn't do pretty good, I think it is because our band has only done a field show for two years so we aren't the best at it YET, but we got 80 points better than our payson competition. So that is a BIG improvement! I'm sad that Marching band is over. I didn't like practices very much, but now I want them back! Yesterday we started our concert band and well....I didn't like it as well as Marching band. I want Marching band back!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(
I had never been to St. George, so it was really awesome to go there, and the best thing about it was their Palm trees. I have never seen palm trees so that was exciting!

Yesterday night, Katie Bemis and I went to the dino museum to listen to this guy from NASA. (It was worth 20 point extra credit for biology.) It was very interesting to hear about the planets and such. (He said that they actually took a buzz light year toy up is space on a spaceship so that they could say that buzz has been in space before.) His speech included some very funny things and such. I quite enjoyed it. Then afterward we went up to Steinaker reservoir to look at the stars through big telescopes. We saw jupiter and other cool things. We learned some of the constellations that were out. It was quite interesting! I am glad I went.

As for school: I have been in for about a month and I love high school. I am glad that i'm not at the Jr. High any more. Once there for two year you are ready to get out. But I do miss the teachers there. I think that is the only thing that I miss though.
At High school the classes are a bit harder and with Marching band it is hard to keep up with all the classes. But as I said above I am finding ways to get extra credit that will help me with things I can't make up. My favorite classes, are probably Spanish and Marching band, but band can easily be my least favorite at the same time. I'm just glad that the first day is over.

For marching band we went to a review in weber to have judges give us their comments on what we needed to work on for our show to improve it before competition which will be in Payson in a week.... I hope we will be ready. But Mr. Gibson is working us hard every chance he gets, so I think we will be ready.

First day of High school

Today was the first day of school. At first it felt like any other day of school besides the I can't sleep the day before as usual the night before school starts. And when I got on the bus it felt the same but then I didn't get off at the Jr. High. And then it got different and hit me. I'm in High school now! I got a little nervous when I saw more people than I had ever seen in the commons. We had an assembly where the sophomores where made fun of so because we weren't as good as the juniors and seniors. It was a bit weird. then the rest of the day felt like school. I had to go up and down and down and up, because my locker is upstairs. But If I can make the 5 minute bell schedule on mondays I can make the 10 min bell schedule the regular passing time! But It wasn't that bad, I think I will servive my first year of high school, or at least first week! :P

entering high school, and update on the rats

it's the end of the summer! i'm way excited for school. It starts monday the day after tomorrow. I can't wait! WAHOO FOR HIGH SCHOOL!(I think!)

My schedule for the first tri is:
1st hour- spanish w/ Muir
2nd hour-biology w/ Elder
3rd hour- Geometry w/ McMullin
1st lunch
4th hour-English w/ Smith
5th hour- Marching band w/ Gibson.

Oh and you may ask how the rats are doing. They are both DEAD. yes sadly. It has been a crazy experince really. Mallow died so we exchanged him and got kyo. The yuki got Mallow's sickness and died. And so we got three baby rats, and a ting bit bigger one to replace yuki. My replacement killed the three baby rats and such. Maybe we just aren't destined to have rats.
So again, Chelsea is going to exchange the canable rat and hopefully we can get good rats after all this. AH! I don't think the pet store is a good place to get rats.

RATS, Literally!

I got a Rat yesterday. Well...both my friend and I did. They are living with each other at Her house(Chelsea's) because #1 it's good for them to have buddies, they live longer, and #2 mom said I could have one if she didn't ever see it.( i showed her pictures but how can she not see those?) I'm happy! I named him Yuki and Chelsea named her Mallow!

Chelsea and I went up to the cabin the night before Youth conference. We had fun at the cabin. Here are some pictures of us up at the cabin, rosting marshmellows and playing the ball toss game.

In the morning we went down to bowden draw and ate breakfast with the young women and young men. Then we went and did a service project painting map things on the way up the mountain like by the mine and red cloud loop. They looked alot better afterward! And then we went rafting down flaming gorge. There was a theory about water fights. They said we only had one water fight...it lasted from the time we started to the time we finished. There was a battle over ores, and buckets that was used to dump water on people! It was fun! At one point we were able to get out and swim. I jumped rafts a couple times. then after we finished rafting we ate dinner and had a fireside. I went to the stake dance 30 mins after I got home...tricky hun? That dance was amazing!

Today was my birthday and I had a big party with tons of friends that came and after the party we went swimming at the rec center! I'm glad to know i'm loved. I had a blast and as soon as I got home I crashed I partied hard today. Thanks to those who have made my day the best ever. I have pictures! above!

When Jennie's family came down to the cabin we went up to red canyon. We had a picnic down there and then we went into the visitor type center and looked at some fun stuff. it was exciting. and very beautiful!
